Snowflake Fun

Snowflake by Fear-Less

Do you hear the wind

 Screaming hollow sounds

Through the winding alleys

It feels so quiet and empty

 Everything is cold and abandoned

 Only the wind is left

 Roaming the streets

And me...

The cloak pulled around me

Trying to keep the warmth in

 A snowflake falls

Before my feet

The only star in the sky today

The clouds look dark

 So menacing

Let the snowstorm...

Begin

Enjoy and Learn

Dear Parents,
Educational researchers have found that there is a strong correlation between reading and academic success, therefore it is very important reason why ASL (Arabic as a second language) students should try to develop their reading skills: In other words, a student who is a good reader is more likely to do well in school than a student who is a weak reader.
Educational researchers have also found a strong correlation between reading and vocabulary knowledge. In other words, students who have a large vocabulary are usually good readers. This is not very surprising, since the best way to acquire a large vocabulary is to read extensively, and if you read extensively you are likely to be or become a good reader!
So if you want your child to be successful at school encourage him or her to read. Reading will help your child develop the reading competence that is essential for academic achievement.
Kindly check the list of sites, books; hopefully it will be a helpful resource for all students to enjoy and to learn.

Responsibility

Dear Parents and Students,

Hope you are having a fun, warm, and safe snow days.

None of us is born acting responsibly. A responsible character is formed over time. It is made up of our outlook and daily habits associated with feelings, thoughts, and actions. Responsible people act the way they should whether or not anyone is watching. They do so because they understand that it's right and because they have the courage and self-control to act decently, even when tempted to do otherwise.

We want our children to appreciate the importance of being responsible. We also want them to develop the habits and strength to act this way in their everyday lives. Learning to be responsible includes learning how to be responsible for your learning. Snow days was a great chance to help my students practice how to be responsible for their learning.

I am confident that my students are doing their best in learning Arabic. Keep up the good work, and bring it back to school to celebrate your accomplishment.
