Great Year!!

Dear Parents and Families,

Wow, what a year! Better yet - what a GREAT year! We have covered a lot of material and participated in many fun and exciting projects. We started to develop skills needed for learning the Arabic language. We made many new friends along the way too.

Each of your children has brought such joy and happiness to our classroom. I was so fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children this year. My friends and family often laugh at me when I refer to your children as “my kids”. They are like my own children. They all have touched my life and this school year in very positive and rewarding ways. I hope as the years go by that they keep in touch. Today’s technology can help us continue the relationships we have built. I encourage and welcome correspondences from you and your kids.

Students, I have enjoyed being your teacher this year. It's rewarding when a teacher is able to get a class full of children who are eager to learn and willing to do the hard work necessary. You should be proud of the work you accomplished, both individually and as a class.

I’m glad I was your teacher.
I've come to love you so.
I can't believe the end is here.
I hate to see you go.

Remember all the fun we had
in all the things we did
But most of all remember...
You're a very special kid!

Happy Earth Day!

Dear Parents,

April and spring go hand in hand. Spring is the season for renewal and new beginnings. Let’s refresh our promises to Mother Nature by recognizing Earth Day.

Our planet is at a turning point. The massive global migration underway now from countryside to cities will demand huge investments in energy, water, materials, waste, food distribution, and transportation over the next 25 years. If the right investments are made now, this unique opportunity will be the catalyst for dramatic changes in the built environment and the fight against carbon emissions and climate change.

Working together hand in hand to educate and engage our future leaders for environmental movement. Education is at the heart of change. Help us achieve our goal of protecting Mother Nature by recycling and using cloth bags and reusable water bottles even driving a hybrid car…etc.

Introduction and presentation go together because the introduction usually leads right into the presentation phase of the lesson. They are still separate parts, as they accomplish different purposes.

The Introduction provides interest and motivation to the students. It focuses students' attention on the lesson and its purposes. It also convinces students that they will benefit from the lesson. 

There are many ways to present , here are a few: ·         Asking questions to get the students thinking about the topic. ·         Showing pictures that relate to the topic. ·         Telling a story to show the importance of the topic. ·         Bringing in real objects related to the lesson.

The presentation phase is when the teacher guides the presentation, but with student input and interaction.

We are proud Arabic Language learner presenting to other classes. We read, enjoyed and learned while we were preparing our presentations.
