KEEP IN TOUCH!

Dear students,

“Before we say goodbye forever, I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that I could be your teacher. I hope you know how much happiness you bring into my life and how much I genuinely enjoy teaching you. I absolutely love Arabic, but even more than Arabic, I love you! I can’t tell you how many days I have been stressed and frustrated and have come to work and have had you make me laugh and forget those stresses.

I hope you won’t forget the good times we have had in this class, and I hope you will always remember it fondly because I know I will.  This class is one of my favorite classes in my history of teaching.

You have amazed me by your brilliance. I hope that no matter where your future takes you, you will continue the learning process! Keep reading, keep writing, and keep seeking knowledge. The more we know the better people we become and I believe that. I would hope that you …
NEVER STOP LEARNING!

I believe that a student at ACS is really a unique type of student. You are all so kind and accepting of others… and even nice to your teachers!  I know you all have your individual struggles and battles, but the way you treat each other and this school should be admired! I think you are absolutely capable of doing anything in the world that you want to! Make it a better place! Work hard in your next journey, set goals and do everything in your power to achieve them, and remember how smart you are! I would not be surprised to hear fantastic things from all of you; I know your potential!

Keep in touch with me!  I look forward to share your accomplishments! You must know that as a teacher, I take great joy in seeing the good that you have done with your lives.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be your teacher.  You are an incredible group of students that have forever changed my life.

A part of my heart will always be there, with you. ”

From,

Mrs. Ramahi

Peace One Day!

We are all members of one family, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We know we shall find peace only where we find justice – only where we find respect for all human beings, only where all human beings have the right to a decent living for themselves and their families.

Thank you for allowing ACS and I the opportunity to teach your child!

Dear Parents,

I am honored to be a member of the American Community School teaching staff. It is my pleasure to return to ACS this year. For those of you that are new to ACS this year I look forward to meeting you and your daughter/son, and for those who already know me I am also looking forward to seeing you again.

My name is Wafa Ramahi, I am an Elementary Arabic teacher, and I have a Masters in Curriculum and Teaching Methods and have been teaching Arabic at ACS for eleven years. I am happy to return for another great year.

It is my goal to introduce Arabic in a way that your child will spark interest in reading, writing, and the oral language. We will read in some manner in every class. Some days I will read out loud to the class, while other days students will read to each other.

I believe that by all of us working together we can make this a very successful year. I consider it of prime importance that you be an active part of your child's education. You are invited to visit the school any time that you have a question concerning your child's progress.

Education is a partnership between the student, teacher, and parent(s). Success in the classroom and for the teacher can’t occur without the student. I look forward to build the partnership with your child. You on the other hand have raised your child and understand her/him in a way I never will, so if there is anything you would like me to know about your child, now or in the future, I hope you will never hesitate to contact me by note, phone, or e-mail. Thank you for allowing ACS and I the opportunity to teach your child.

I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child's teacher this year, and look forward to meeting each of you.
Sincerely,

Wafa Ramahi

What a GREAT year!

Dear Parents and Families,

Dear Parents and Families,

Wow, what a year! Better yet - what a GREAT year! We have covered a lot of material and participated in many fun and exciting projects. We started to develop skills needed for learning the Arabic language. We made many new friends along the way too.
Each of your children has brought such joy and happiness to our classroom. I was so fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children this year. My friends and family often laugh at me when I refer to your children as “my kids”. They are like my own children. They all have touched my life and this school year in very positive and rewarding ways. I hope as the years go by that they keep in touch. Today’s technology can help us continue the relationships we have built. I encourage and welcome correspondences from you and your kids.
Students, I have enjoyed being your teacher this year. It's rewarding when a teacher is able to get a class full of children who are eager to learn and willing to do the hard work necessary. You should be proud of the work you accomplished, both individually and as a class.

"I’m glad I was your teacher.
I've come to love you so.
I can't believe the end is here.
I hate to see you go."

Remember all the fun we had in all the things we did
But most of all remember...
You're a very special kid!
I will miss all of you. I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Ramahi
